Founding Vision:

ESS’ founding vision 1995 was to provide complete spiking services for existing HWC clients which were:

1. Reliable and highly responsive to client needs;
2. Produced spiking rate data which were:
   1. Consistently accepted by all EPA Regions and state agencies without question,
   2. Demonstratably high accuracy, and
   3. Consistently provided the requisite technical and regulatory justification for the operating limits sought by our clients; and
3. Reasonably priced based on a rational and transparent cost structure.

Quality Habits, Quality Management System:

Every decision [concerning equipment purchases, personnel, methods and procedures, etc.], we have made in the intervening nine years has been made in the context of this vision.

In retrospect, we have observed that we instinctively evolved toward the principles of Total Quality Management which we define simply as building quality into every daily task, activity, &/or decision.

As result of our attention to detail, ESS is ISO 9001:2000 certified and is preparing for ISO 17025 during 2004.
